Expanded WaveForms Features
This iteration of our most popular Analog Discovery oscilloscope also allows engineers access to new powerful features in WaveForms like the FIR (finite impulse response) Filter. Users can reduce the amount of high frequency noise that could affect the quality of their measurements. Digital loopback of captured signals to the AWG is now supported. AWG output signals can now also be recaptured through digital loopback and displayed alongside signals returned from a circuit under test.
Analog Discovery 3: 125 MS/s USB Oscilloscope, Waveform Generator, Logic Analyzer, and Variable Power Supply
Digilent’s latest multi-function test and measurement device, also known as the AD3, is a digital oscilloscope, logic analyzer, waveform generator, pattern generator, and much more. Using the flexible WaveForms software (supported by Windows, Mac, and Linux), the Analog Discovery 3 can be used in the lab, in the field, or even at home - you're no longer tied down to a traditional benchtop and stacks of expensive test instruments.

What is WaveForms?
WaveForms is the software application that enables use of the available analog and digital instruments. The software has been refined by customer feedback for over 10 years and features a computer and laptop friendly user interface that has the feel of traditional benchtop software. The Analog Discovery 3 communicates with WaveForms via a USB connection to your computer, allowing users to capture, record, analyze, and generate mixed signal and mixed domain waveforms. WaveForms can be tested without hardware using its demo mode feature. In addition to the use of instruments in the application, the WaveForms application has a script editor tool, which allows custom scripting of the instrument in JavaScript. WaveForms is designed to be run on a laptop or desktop computer and is Mac, Windows, and Linux compatible.
For even more customization potential, the WaveForms Software Development Kit (SDK) can be used to create custom applications and scripts in Python, C, and additional languages.
